She first attended Nyack (NY) College where she met her husband in 1946, marrying in 1948 and graduating with training in Bible and religion in 1949. She then pursued nurses training at Booth Memorial Hospital in NYC, becoming a licensed practical nurse (LPN) in 1950. In 1960, she attended Wheaton College where her husband was a member of the faculty, earning a B.S. degree in Biology. While Jackie was loved and appreciated by so many of her patients, she was also adored by her husband, her family and numerous friends wherever she lived. She was notorious for her gregarious zest for life and most assuredly for her dedicated service to her God and needy people everywhere.
