George Calvert, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.
He was born on January 15, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to late Haskell and Marion (Turner) Calvert.
George was a civil engineer for the city of Louisville retiring after many years of service. He liked gardening and enjoyed spending time with his family.
George is survived by his loving wife, Jean Calvert, children; George Calvert, Jr. (Jae), Dana Moore, Susan Williamson (Greg), Theresa Shannon (Mike), Elizabeth Hedrick, grandchildren Katie, Sarah, Jeremiah, Joshua, Michael, Jonathan, Haley, Jackson, Maxwell, Thomas and Joseph. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren Caroline, Dean and Nora.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church (2822 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206).
The family requests that contributions in George’s memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
