Charlotte Wilson, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and devoted friend, transitioned from her earthly home to her everlasting heavenly home on Friday, July 10, 2020.

God called Charlotte by her name, and Jesus grasped hold of her hand. She has truly fought a good fight, she has kept her faith: there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give her.

Charlotte was born February 4, 1948, in Gary, Indiana. She confessed faith in Christ at an early age and was the third child of the late Charles T. and Shirley Y. Clark. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Wilson, parents, brothers, Charles T. Clark Jr., Larry W. Clark, niece, LaTanza Bryant, and nephew, Justin Clark.

Charlotte graduated from Emerson High School and Ivy Tech Community College. She worked as a substitute teacher for the Gary School System before relocating to Minneapolis, MN, and retiring from Minneapolis School District.

While living in Minneapolis, Charlotte was a member of Jehovah Jira Church of God in Christ, where she served teaching the children ministry.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her memories: four sons, Phillip Anthony (Terenza) Howard, Sr. of Minneapolis, MN, Lydell Jon’air (Rachelle) Conley of Louisville, KY, Teron Deachon (Orneary) Conley of Minneapolis, MN, Lamarr Jermell Conley of Waldorf, MD. One brother, Don Haley of Houston, TX, three sisters, Shirley Hill of Avon, IN, Hulette (James) Williams of Logansville, GA, Carol (Elder Michael) Simon of Clarksville, TN; one sister-in-law, Yvonne Clark of Magnolia, TX; 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews; numerous cousins, friends and special friend Tonya Criss.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Central Time on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3815 West 39th Avenue Hobart, IN 46342) with burial to follow.
