Eva (Herron) Sowders Nall, 95, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020. She retired from AT&T and was a avid marathon runner. Eva enjoyed many things in life, which included gardening, painting, quilting, and traveling.
She was born on August 28, 1924, in East Bernstadt, Kentucky, to the late Willie and Maggie (Green) Herron. Eva was also preceded in death by her husbands, Orval Sowders and Harold Nall; son, Rick Sowders; granddaughter, Lynn Sowders Devine; and siblings, James, Bill, Ruth, Barb, Margie, Jean, and Helen.
Eva is survived by her children, Carol Keithley, Larry Sowders (Cathy), and Michael Sowders (Carol); sisters, Jan, Irene, and Bonnie; and numerous generations of grandchildren. "God bless her; she is finished with her race."
Cremation was chosen following Eva's wishes, and a celebration of her life will be held later this summer. Contributions in her memory may be made to Norton Children's Hospital Foundation (PO Box 950183, Louisville, KY 40295).
