Carol Ann (Bickel) Popp

Carol Ann (Bickel) Popp, 70, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2020. She adored her grandchildren and loved supporting them in all of their activities. Carol grew up and helped work on her family's farm. She retired from Clark County R.E.M.C. and was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church.

She was born on February 23, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Adolph and Henrietta (Schladant) Bickel. Carol was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth "Sonny" Bickel. Carol is survived by her husband, Marvin Popp; daughter, Lori Garrison (Dan); son, Bryan Popp, M.D. (Toanh, M.D.); grandchildren, Macie and Aidan Garrison, and Anna, Leo, Magloire, and Lucy Popp; sister, Brenda Wilkerson (Doug); and sisters-in-law, Rose Bickel and Charlotte Popp.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus, 2605 W. St. Joe Road, Sellersburg) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
