Earl Joseph Naville, Sr., 91, of Navilleton, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Earl was a life-member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and was an associate member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Floyds Knobs American Legion. Earl was a quiet man who had a gentle soul and knew how to listen and give good advice. He was an avid fisherman, card player, golfer, farmer, and mower of the lawn and loved attending family functions.

He was born on May 6, 1928, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to the late Herman J., Sr., and Josephine M. (McKinley) Naville. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Jean (Johns) Naville; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Missi) Naville; brothers-in-law, Joe Brockman, Carl Johns, and Jay Rose, Sr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Naville.

Earl is survived by his second wife, Bonnie C. (Kruer) Huber-Naville; children, Pamela J. Briles, E. Joseph "Joe" (Sherri) Naville, Jr., James F. "Jim" (Bonnie) Naville, Gerald E. "Jerry" Naville, Sr., Patricia I. "Patti" (Vernon) Kirchgessner, Peggy J. (Bill) Emerson, Jeffrey L. "Jeff" (Lisa) Naville, John T. (Marianne) Naville, Jason T. (Tammie) Naville, Julian G. (Karin) Naville, and Justin M. (Tisha) Naville; siblings, Herman (Marcella) Naville, Eugene Naville, Naomi Brockman, and Elizabeth (Bob) Blessing; 42 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; his stepchildren, several nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. His Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019, at St. Mary's Navilleton Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that contributions in Earl’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
