Alvina Elizabeth (Renn) Seng, 88, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2019. Alvina was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening and quilting and was a gifted baker. She will be remembered for her delicious pies and her famous persimmon cookies. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was born on February 12, 1931, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Raymond and Bertha Roberts Renn. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Seng, Jr.; brother, Sylvester Renn; and sister, Lucille Adamczyk.

Alvina is survived by her loving children, Mary Pat Butler, Denise (Roscoe) Burden, Charles (Jodie) Seng III, Alyssa (Glen) Morris, and Philip Seng; siblings, Aline Krakowski, Virginia Schindler, Elvin (Patsy) Renn, Harold (Joanne) Renn, Lelia (Maurice) Popp, and Evalina (Steve) Ems; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother in-law, Paul J. (Doris) Seng.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Chapel (5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
