In Memory Of
Evelyn May Churchman
1923 - 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn May Churchman on November 13, 2019 at the age of 96 years old. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband James Aaron Churchman Sr. and her daughter Ranee Kathleen Churchman.

Evelyn, the daughter of William and Eleanor O’Brien, was born March 18, 1923 in Louisville, KY. She was a loving person who was not afraid to speak her mind. Evelyn was married to James, the love of her life, for over 50 years before his passing in 1996. They had three children together, two sons and a daughter. Evelyn retired from Jefferson County Public Schools after many years of service. She enjoyed watching sports on television and spending time with her family.

Evelyn leaves behind her son James Churchman Jr., daughter-in-law Brenda, son William Churchman, granddaughters and their spouses Rebecca (Patrick), Michelle (Ryan) and great grandchildren Ty, Braden, Gina, and Aubrey.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park.
