Patrick William Stammerman, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. He was a 1956 graduate of Ahrens Trade School and served in the Kentucky National Guard. Pat had a career that included being a surveyor, draftsman, highway construction and inspector. He spent his life being involved in his children's various activities that included being Scoutmaster of Troop #411, Optimist Club and Seneca High School Band Booster President. Pat also enjoyed camping with his family, setting the pins at Fredrick's Bowling Alley, making pizzas and could easily be described as a horrible trombone player.

He was born on October 29, 1936 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Patrick and Dorothy (Walts) Stammerman. Pat was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Mary Magadelene (Townley) Stammerman.

Pat is survived by his children, Joseph Stammerman (Suncha), Renee Stammerman, Marlene Stammerman; brother, Michael Stammerman (Kathy); nephews, Kevin Stammerman (April), John Stammerman (Lea); and great-nephews, Andrew and Izac Stammerman.

Cremation was chosen following Pat's wishes. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205).
