James Newcom

James K. Newcom, 67, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019. He was born on March 4, 1952 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky to the late James and Anna Newcom. James served in the United States Army. He graduated from University of Louisville with a degree in Geology. He enjoyed reading and had a wealth of knowledge. Also, was a great math tutor to his siblings, nieces and nephews. He was a beloved brother, uncle and friend and his sense of humor will be missed by everyone that knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Helen (Tim) Breslin, Gary (Sondra) Newcom, Lucia (Bruce) McGuffin, Marilyn Newton (Richard Pounders, III), Carolyn (Dominic) Baisas, Mary Ann (Steve) Hannah and many nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate James' life will take place at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Newcomer Funerals, Cremations and Receptions- Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). The family will accept guests for visiting prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in James' honor to Disabled American Veterans.
