Wanda (Gates) Colin, 94, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 24, 2019, at Guerin Woods. She was a long-time and active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she had previously served as the president of the Marion Guild.

She was born on August 17, 1925, in Scott County, Indiana, to the late Daniel and Martha (Hopper) Gates. Wanda was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Colin, Sr.; son, Walter Colin, Jr.; sisters, Irene Timberlake and Betty Swartz; and brothers, Luke and Irvin Gates.

Wanda is survived by her children, Michael Colin (Jackie), Daniel Colin (Susan), Janice Scott (David), and Judith Rusinko (Dan); daughter-in-law, Gayle Colin; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.

Contributions in Wanda's memory may be made to Our Lady of Providence High School (707 Providence Way, Clarksville, IN 47129) or to her church.
