George Richard Neeley, 76, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019. He retired from Sonoco in New Albany after over 30 years of service. George was an avid fan of IU basketball and enjoyed painting cars and gardening.

He was born on January 21, 1943, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, to the late Curtis and Margaret (Losson) Neeley. George was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Neeley; as well as four brothers and four sisters.

George is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Deloris (Sullivan) Neeley; sons, Anthony Neeley (Lisa) and Richard Neeley; grandchildren, Chelsea, Kyle, Ellissa (Dustin), and Madelyn Neeley; and great-grandson, Layken Adamson.

Cremation was chosen following George's wishes. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 104, Louisville, KY 40223).
