Jeffrey "Jippy" Sampson, 61, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Jippy enjoyed fishing and loved music, especially classic rock. He was an avid sports fan that followed the New York Jets and all Detroit teams. Above all of that, he will be remembered for being a loving father to his children that he adored.

He was born on April 9, 1958 in New Albany, Indiana. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his 3 sisters, Angie Hughes, Lisa Meeks, and Denise Torstrick.

Jippy is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Margaret Sampson; son, Robert Sampson; daughter, April Sampson; and brothers, Nickey and Dennis Sampson.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery (Tunnel Hill).
