Farmer Malone, Jr. was born on October 9, 1935, in
Limestone County, Alabama, to the late Reverend Farmer Malone, Sr.
and Ella Will Hargrove Malone.
He was educated in the public school system in Limestone County, Alabama,
and was a graduate of Trinity High School.
He was a member of Brown Memorial CME Church.

Farmer married Susan Freeman in 1957, and to this union, five children were born. Jerry (deceased), Darrell, William, Cheryl and Scott.
He started his business, F.M. Malone, Jr. Enterprises, Inc., in 1960, which he ran until his retirement in 2013. Farmer has had much success with major projects, including the renovation of the The Brown Hotel in the late 1990's,
the KFC Headquarters, Muhammad Ali Center, Kentucky Lottery Headquarters, Louisville Slugger Field, NASA, Marshall Space Flight Center, Alabama,
MSD, Humana Building, and the Harbor Luxury Apartments on the riverfront,
just to name a few. Farmer was awarded the
Minority Construction Firm of the Year distinction in 2000.

He had a passion for the horses and love working in his beloved vegetable garden. He departed this life on Wednesday morning, March 14, 2019, at 2:25 a.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 62 years, Susan Malone;
his children Darrell Malone, William Malone (Angela),
Cheryl Malone-Weaver, Scott Farmer Malone, Farmer Malone III and
Aaron Houston; four sisters, Sylvia M. Kelly, Geneva (Alexander-deceased) Benford, Addie (Clifford-deceased)Mastin, Juanita (Andy-deceased) Malone Winton, Athens, Alabama; one brother, Roy Malone (Lois), Louisville, Kentucky. Thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Farmer Sr. and Ella Will Malone,
Two brothers, Jerry and Willie Mack Malone, two sisters,
Bertha Pipes and Ola Rene Anderson, and one son, Jerry Malone.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm with a funeral to follow at 1 pm on Wednesday, March 20th at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel
(10304 Dixie HWY). Burial will follow at Green Meadows Memorial Cemetery (3800 Shanks LN).
