She was the daughter of the late Roger Bright Thompson and Joyce (McCafferty) Thompson.
Born and raised in Hikes Point, Louisville, Julie was a proud alumna of Seneca High School. She lived for many years in LaGrange and then Lexington before moving back to Louisville. Julie worked most recently in the infirmary at the Kentucky Correctional Institute for Women in Pewee Valley, Kentucky.
Julie is survived by her loving husband Joel Angelo Williams; sons, Jason Neil Lawrence (Ivaylo "Ivo" Linev), John Lucas Bramblett (Caroline), Robert Kevin Bramblett (Danielle), step-son Ian Hunter Williams (Marina), grandchildren Gabriel Cintron, Claire Bramblett, step-grandchildren Zoe and Jackson Williams. She is also survived by her brothers Philip Thompson (Patricia) and Kelly Thompson (Kathy).
Visitation will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 Noon at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway Louisville, KY 40272). The memorial service will be followed by a celebration of Julie's life from 1:30 to 3:00 PM at LouVino Douglass Hills, Private Dining Room (11400 Main Street, Louisville, KY 40243).
