James Joseph Niehaus Jr., 64, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018. Jimmy loved baseball in all aspects. From coaching baseball and softball, teaching baseball instruction for over 20 years, and coaching little league where he got the opportunity to take his 15 and under team to the Little League World Series. Jimmy also had a passion for live bands and his favorite music.

He was born on January 5, 1954 to the late James Sr. and Patricia (Kramer) Niehaus.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Janeen (Johnson) Niehaus; children, Nicole Ferreri (Bobby), Jesse Niehaus (Lacee), Andrea Stuthers (Scott Ling), Braidy Cochran and Cory Cochran (Alyssa); sister, Janie Bushau; brother, Rick Niehaus; grandchildren, Will, Louis, Jack, Austin, Henlee, Brad and Kody; and his great grandson, Tucker.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Memorial Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2018 at St. Augustine Catholic Church (315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville).
