Elizabeth Brittton Creamer, 99, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018 at Baptist Health Louisville, with family members by her side. Elizabeth was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught in Louisville, Kentucky and in Wiscasset, Maine. She was a member of the Edgecomb Community Church in Maine, where she served as organist and choir director. In Louisville, she attended St. Matthews United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents John W. and Ruth Holt Britton; her husband Neal Creamer; her sister Ruth Britton Sprowls and husband Claude; her brothers John R. Britton, Webster E. Britton, Ph.D. and wife Frances and Roland E. Britton and wife Irene; niece Peggy R. Britton; and nephews Ronald R. Nicholas and Richard F. Ward, Jr.

Elizabeth is survived by three nieces, Ann Britton Nicholas, Eloise Britton Ward and Robin Ruth Sprowls; four nephews, John W. Britton (Kathryn), Roland E. Britton, Jr., Claude S. Sprowls, Jr., (Judy) and Paul D. Sprowls (Cindy). Also surviving are 10 great-nieces and nephews, 12 great-great-nieces and nephews and 3 great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth enjoyed knitting gloves, sweaters, caps and scarves for her family, friends and the Maine Seacoast Mission. Known to her family as “Aunt Elizabeth”, “Aunt Betty” or “Boom Boom”, she was gracious and loving with a quick wit and a radiant smile. She added a special joy to all family gatherings.

A memorial service will be held 10am Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Highland United Methodist Church, Colonial Heights, Virginia with burial in the family plot at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Virginia.
