David Anthony Elmore, 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018. Dave was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Redman Club in New Albany and was a sports fanatic. He was a loyal Indiana Hoosiers, New York Yankees, and Minnesota Vikings fan. Dave also enjoyed playing travel softball in his younger years and was affectionately known as “Chismo.”

He was born on November 3, 1942, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Charles and Jeanette (Copler) Elmore. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Elmore.

Dave is survived by his children, Christopher Elmore (Jennifer), Kendra Harrison (Shane), and Pamela Lowell (Steve); sisters, Janice Willis (Richard) and Pamela Bruner; grandchildren, Ethan, Bradley, Tyler, Peyton, Aubree, Alaina, and Phillip.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Memorial Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. David will be laid to rest at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
