Donnie was a 20 year Veteran of United States Army retired Staff Sergeant.
He was born on March 30, 1954 in Shelbyville, Kentucky to the late Herman and Matilda (Perkins) Rogers. He is also preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Rogers and baby sister Sarah Rogers.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Greenwell Rogers, sister Evelyn Royalty-Wagner and a host of extended family members.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with burial to follow at 12:30 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 North Dixie Blvd Radcliff, KY 40160).
The family requests that contributions in Donnie’s memory be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
