Russell Allan Meredith

December 30, 1935 — July 30, 2018

Russell Allan "Russ" Meredith, age 82 of Louisville, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018. He served in the Air National Guard, retired from Chevron Oil Company after 30 years of service, and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Russ continuously helped people in need through various local and international organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orva Alton and Marie Anna Harris Meredith; his first wife, Charnell Ann Mivelaz; and his sister, Beverly Chapman.

Russ is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Pat Weber Estes Meredith; children, Michael Meredith, Sara Meredith McKissick (Carm), Richard Estes (Tamara), Cheri Estes Elmore (Rick); grandchildren, Garrett Estes, Grace McKissick, Maddie McKissick, Megan McKissick, Carson Elmore and Kennedy Elmore; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5 pm – 8 pm Friday, August 3, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown. A celebration of Russ' life will be 10am Saturday, August 4th at St. Patrick Catholic Church 1000 N Beckley Station Rd, Louisville, KY 40245, with a reception after the Mass. Burial will follow the reception in Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Smile Train or Water With Blessings.
