Edwin Harlan "Huey" Howey
1940 - 2018

Edwin Harlan "Huey" Howey, 77, of Louisville, KY passed away on May 13, 2018. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and a Kentucky Colonel. He attended Western Kentucky University, where he received his Master's Degree in Education. Huey retired as a math teacher at Valley High School. When he wasn't teaching, Huey enjoyed farming and watching his grandson, Seth, play baseball. Huey was also known to have a generous heart and loved to tell stories.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Nancy Howey; parents, Marion and Elizabeth Howey and grandparents, David and Zetta Bennett.

Huey is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Chad) Perkins and Risa Howey; grandson, Seth Allen Perkins; brother-in-law, Charles Taul and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 3pm-8pm (EST). Visitation will also be Friday, May 18, 2018, at New Clover Creek Baptist Church, 6308 KY-105, Hardinsburg, KY from 12pm-2pm (CST) with a celebration of Huey's life beginning at 2pm (CST).

Burial will follow at New Clover Creek Baptist Church, 6308 KY-105, Hardinsburg, KY.
