Rick was born on June 10, 1957, in Louisville, Ky to Edward Ernst and Florence (Schuster) Ernst. He was also preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Ernst and his mother-in-law, Edith Faye Banner.
Rick is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peri (Banner) Ernst; children, Jeremy Ernst and Joshua Ernst; brother, Michael (Wanda) Ernst, sisters, Judy Faulkner, Jeannie (Peter) Prignano and Anna (Bart) Whitmore; and his father-in-law, William Banner and many extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel
