Theodore L. "Ted" Graf
1930 - 2018

Theodore L. “Ted” Graf, 87, of Memphis, passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 11, 2018. He was a lifetime member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill) in Sellersburg, as well as a lifetime farmer. Ted served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and later went on to serve his community as the Carr Township Trustee. He was also an active participant and supporter of the New Albany Farmer’s Market.

He was born on April 4, 1930 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Herman and Josephine (Hammett) Graf. Ted was also preceded in death by his son, Randy Graf; daughter, Donna Graf Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Sams Graf.

Ted is survived by his wife of 63 years, Marcella (Kirchgessner) Graf; children, Rick Graf (Cathy), Becky Graf Mayfield (Danny), Ray Graf (Becky Ann); daughter-in-law, Mary Graf Book (John); son-in-law, Bryan Jackson; sisters, Juanita Popp (Jim), Virginia Townsend (Don); ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 8 AM. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Hill Campus) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Contributions in Ted’s memory may be made to the St. John Paul II Building Fund (216 Scheller Avenue, Sellersburg, IN 47172).
