Franklin Thomas Helton

April 12, 1934 — February 24, 2018

Franklin Thomas Helton, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a retiree from Stein Glass Company. Frank loved country music, as well as singing and playing guitar. He also enjoyed woodworking and could be described as a handyman.

He was born on April 12, 1934 in Bardstown, Kentucky to the late John and Elizabeth (Watts) Helton. Frank was also preceded in death by his wife, Emma (Anderson) Helton; son, Steven Helton; and sisters, Sharon Wisecarver and Wanda Kirk.

Frank is survived by his children, Pete Helton (Maryjane), Anita Helton, Brenda Hart (Jeff), Pamela Riddle, Susan Brown (Jay); 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mount Tabor Cemetery.
