Herbert Bowen, 88, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016. He was born on November 2, 1927, in New Albany, Indiana, to Dolphus and Clementine (Muir) Bowen. He served in the U.S. Army, and retired from L&N railroad after many years of service. Herbert was an avid IU fan and enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Allis, Norma Jean, and Virginia; brothers, Chester, Albert, John, and his twin brother, Herman
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends and will be missed by them all.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150) with his Funeral Service to follow at 12 PM. Burial with military honors will take place at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
