1932 - 2016

Marshall E. Brown, 83, passed away on June 26, 2016. Marshall was a 1951 graduate of Fairdale High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked at International Harvester until they shut down, then went to Navistar in Indianapolis where he retired. He was a guy that could do almost everything and through the years he proved it. He loved fishing and when the children were young he took the family to Dale Hollow the first week in June and October every year, then when the boys were older they took him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Keith Brown; parents, Ernest L. Lewis and Lillie J. Rust Brown; brothers, Ellis, Manuel and Marvin Brown and daughter-in-law, Sheri D. Brown.

Marshall is survived by his wife, Fayan Garrett Brown; children, Marcia Faye (Tony) Watson, Charles Kevin Brown, Sr. and Marshall Carl (Samantha Mitchell) Brown; grandsons, Brian Anthony Watson and Charles Kevin (Bubba) Brown, Jr.; granddaughters, Kerri Lynn Watson (Derek) Massey, Wendi Joy Watson (Kevin) Grant, Traci Michelle Watson Leveque, Rebecca Michelle Brown , Heather Nicole Brown, Amanda Jo (Ami) Brown, Casey Lynn Carter and Cristie Dawn Carter; great-grandchildren, Luke Isaac Leveque, Addison Rae, Landon Ray Paul and Collin Anthony Massey, Joseph Eli Gideon and Zoe Nicole Hedges, Aubrie Jordan and Carter Ray Ramsey, Raylynn Hope and Jessie Jaymes Cottrell; brother, Tom (Phyllis) Brown; sisters, Betty Mitchell and Juanita (Willie) Lainhart; nieces and nephews galore.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 1pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) and Wednesday, June 29, 2016, from 10am-12pm with a celebration of Marshall's life beginning at 12pm.

Private entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
