Linda Starlyne (Poteet) Calvert, 68, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. She enjoyed both gardening and sewing.

She was born on September 20, 1949, in Edmondson County, Kentucky, to the late Howard and Leda (Vincent) Poteet. Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Calvert; and grandson, Jacob Perkins.

Linda is survived by her children, Rita Vincent, Thomas Sensabaugh, Julia Owens, and Leigh Calvert; brother, Ray Poteet (Maxine); grandchildren, Jessica, Joey, Nathan, Nicholas, and Lydia; and two great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen following Linda’s wishes and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. Contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (1640 Lyndon Farm Court, Suite 104, Louisville, Kentucky 40223).
