Hanley H. Taylor, 85, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Hanley was a graduate of New Albany High School, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, and a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Local 89. He enjoyed country music and watching the UK Wildcats.

Hanley was born on August 31, 1932, in Lancaster, Kentucky, to the late Hayes O. and Clara (Smiley) Taylor. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Henry, Lula, and Thelma; granddaughter, Amanda Caple; and daughter-in-law, Connie Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beth (Zinninger) Taylor; children, Angela Caple (David), Nicholas Taylor, and Sue Barlow (Fred); siblings, John Taylor and Vivian Bomersbach (Hoyte); 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Private interment will take place at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.

Memorial donations in Hanley’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (6100 Dutchmans Lane, #401, Louisville, Kentucky 40205).
