Alice Fay Johns, 62, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on December 12, 2017. She retired after being a NICU nurse for over 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Elizabeth, Indiana. Alice loved to paint, read, be with her dogs, and collect decorative plates.

Alice was born on December 19, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Volney and Alice June (Bunch) Gardner. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald "Butch" Gardner.

Alice is survived by her daughters, June Johns and Angela Mayfield; son, Jimmy Johns, stepdaughter, Kimberly Johns; brothers, Billy Gardner and Oscar Gardner; sister, Angela Saylor; and grandchildren, Nora Mayfield, Benton Mayfield, Lydia Mayfield, and Kristina Troth.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Ceremony will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.
