Barbara S. Tichenor, 65, of Louisville passed away on March 17, 2017. Barbara was born in Louisville on December 3, 1951 to the late Walter and Dorothy Douglas. She graduated from Valley High School in 1970 and worked as an LPN at several nursing homes. She was a member of Emmanuel Assembly of God. She will be remembered for her caring heart and passion for helping others. Barbara enjoyed playing Bingo, Bunco and being with the girls in her spare time.

She married John Michael Tichenor, Sr. in 1973. He preceded her in death in 2013. She leaves her son, John Micheal Tichenor, Jr. (Leslie); one sister, Donna Brinley (Steve); one nephew, Jason Quick; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
