Bolton Gerald Reed, Sr., 85, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on July 20, 2016. He retired from Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 502 and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Gerald was born on October 30, 1930, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Max C. Bolton, Sr. and Georgia Reed Bolton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Bolton; his son, Gerald Reed Bolton, Jr; and grandson, Gerald Reed Bolton III.

He is survived by his children, Terry Stephen Bolton, Debora Louise Waltman, Sharon Ann Bolton, Beverly Sue Bolton-Cain (Dennis); daughter-in-law, Ella Jo Bolton; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Bruce Bolton.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home-Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A funeral service to honor the life of Gerald will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rock Haven Cemetery.
