Kathryn Louise Bailey Mapes, age 69, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016. She earned her B.A. in Literature from the College of Great Falls, Montana and a Masters Degree in Rhetorical Composition from the University of Louisville. She was currently the Director of Academic Support Services at the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. She was a member and Elder of Middletown Christian Church and a choir member. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roger Alan Bailey and Ralph Esposito; her parents, Vernon and Marjorie Osborne; and her step-mother, Madge Osborne.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, William Mapes; sons, Alan (Rebecca), Matthew and Marcus Bailey; step-children, Elizabeth Milliken (Brock) and Will Mapes (Michelle); 3 grandsons and 5 granddaughters; sister, Judy Milliken; nephew, Wes Milliken (Amy); many cousins; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 10am-1pm on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Middletown Christian Church, 500 N. Watterson Trail, followed by a memorial celebration of Kathryn’s life at 1pm. Burial will be private.

Memorials may be made to Middletown Christian Church Buddy Break Program.
