Ruby Lee Ashby, 82, of Louisville, passed away on May 6, 2016. Ruby was born in Muhlenberg County, KY on May 21, 1933 to the late Robert and Lavelle Jenkins. She worked for Bank of Louisville and attended Highland Park First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Ashby and one sister, Bobbie Anderson. Survivors include her daughter, Misty Auten (Jon); granddaughters, Kelby and Kylee Auten; sister, Exie Bandy (Edwin); brother, Carl Jenkins (Patty); and nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, May 9, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, KY 40243). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following in Hopewell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park First Baptist Church.
