Marce Len Parmley, was born on June 26, 1950, to Celia Parmley in Burkesville, KY, passed away on January 23, 2023. Marce was a retired Jefferson County public school teacher and a diehard UofL Cardinal fan. Marce graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Kentucky State University in 1974, and later received his master’s degree in 1984, from the University of Louisville.

Marce accepted Christ at an early age at Grundy Chapel Methodist Church in Burkesville, KY, then later in life became a member of the Church of God. After moving to Louisville, KY, Marce became a member of Greater Freeborn Missionary Baptist Church (Breathing New Life Ministry Church). He loved his church and was an active member.

Preceding him in death was his mother, five brothers, and two sisters.

Left to cherish his memories are his two sisters, Hazel Parmley of Louisville, KY, & Margenia (John) Hatfield of Pendleton, Indiana; nephews, JP, Josh, John, & Justin; nieces, Jamie & Nikki, and a host of others who he loved as his nieces & nephews. Marce’s extended family consist of, Mary Hayes, Erica Hayes, and George Glenn, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Breathing New Life Ministries, 1048 S. 15th Street. Louisville, KY with a celebration of Marce’s life beginning at 1:00 a.m.
