William Lee Beams, Sr., 75, of Borden, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and Indiana Army National Guard. Bill was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He loved visiting the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

He was born on March 25, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Drew and Rosalee (Braden) Beams. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Shouse) Beams.

Bill is survived by his children, Dawn Scott (Robby) and William "Billy" Beams, Jr. (Melissa); grandchildren, Travis Scott, Dylan Scott (Sierra), Brendan Beams, Bradley Beams, Justin Scott, Cynthia Beams, Nicholas Beams, and Lillian Beams; great-grandchildren, Allen and Charlie Scott; and siblings, Jim, Janice, and Shawn.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 2:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow at New Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

Contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
