1947 - 2023

Charles L. Nalley, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

He was born on January 4, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Mabel (Reddick) Nalley. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Phyllis F. Nalley and Chiquita L. Caffee.

Charles proudly served our country while enlisted in the U.S. Army. Charles leaves a legacy of generosity; he helped the homeless and the disabled veterans. A caring soul; he loved animals and taking care of others. Most of all, Charles loved his family and there was nothing more near and dear to his heart.

Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Stephanie L. (James) Youngblood, grandchildren, Amy D. (Joe) Youngblood, Shannon N. (Alvin) Lay, Heather D. Nalley and Charles T. Nalley, nine great grandchildren, brothers, Daniel L. Nalley, William "Red" (Patricia ) Nalley and Jerry A. Nalley, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Charles will be laid to rest with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Charles ’s memory be made to the KY Humane Society.
