Edwin Ellis Furness, 73, of Louisville, KY passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1949, in Cass City Michigan.

Ed is preceded in death by his mother Alice Humphries, father Edwin Earl Furness, brother, Steven Furness, sister Colleen Furness, son Steven Furness, stepsister Sharon Reese, daughter in-law Angela Furness, bother in-law David Owens and his sweet Daisy Mae.

Ed graduated from Lowery High School (MI) and proudly served his country in the US Army. He attended the University of Louisville. Ed was an expert machinist and tool maker who owned his own shop as well as worked for General Motors and Budd Company before retiring from Ford Motor Company.

Ed enjoyed playing poker, car shows, grilling, rooting for his Detroit Lions and Tigers, watching his Michigan Bruins, and spontaneously singing with “style” anything by Hank Williams Jr. You always knew where Ed was in a room by following the sound of his laughter. He was an amazing and generous man.
