Charlie Brooks, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. Charlie enjoyed being in the outdoors going hunting, fishing, and his garden. Charlie was a Christian and attended Cornerstone Community Church. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Charlie loved the peaceful times of just sitting outside and watching people and nature. He was a runner who ran several marathons and half marathons. Charlie was a selfless and caring individual who would help anyone in need, and was a father figure to so many. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was born on February 4, 1941 in Smiths Grove, Kentucky to Gerlie and Rhoda (Vincent) Brooks. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Siblings, Wilmer Brooks, Leon Brooks, Madge Bush, Coy Brooks, and Larry Brooks.

Charlie is survived by his Son, Chris (Shannon) Brooks, Daughter, Amy (Roy) Whitaker, Grandsons, Jacob, Jackson, Tilyr, and Austin. Charlie also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Memory Gardens in Payneville, Kentucky.
