Charles Patrick "Charlie" Cox, Sr., 65, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022. He enjoyed the work he did at Nucor in Louisville. Charlie liked cooking out, listening to music, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.

He was born on July 4, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Finis and Florence (Langsdon) Cox. Charlie is survived by his wife, Janet Waldridge-Cox; children, Chuck, Jr., Christopher (Carrie), and Chad Cox, Robert Waldridge, and Nicole Justice (Quinn); siblings, Thomas (Sharon), Joseph, Timothy (Becky), Sheryl (Joe), Danny (Melanie), Karen, Mark (Beth), and William; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Alan and Donna Nelson and John and Karen Powell; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with cremation to follow.
