1949 - 2022

Edmund John “Ed” Narewski, 73, of Louisville, KY unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Ed was born in Steubenville, Ohio, January 14, 1949. He was the loving son of Edmund P. and Marie P. Narewski of Steubenville who preceded him in death. He was a graduate and recent (2021) recipient of Hall of Fame honors at Catholic Central High School for his athleticism. This athleticism earned Ed a scholarship to Vanderbilt University where he played quarterback, defensive back, safety and student coach prior to graduating with a Bachelors. He worked most of his career and retired as Senior Systems Analyst from Anthem after almost 33 years.

Ed was a loving, giving person, a great father and dedicated partner. He will be missed greatly and is truly loved. Love of his family was his greatest joy. Foremost in his love of family were his partner, Connie Gnagie; his children, David Narewski (Samantha), Cara Watts (Jason) and Michele Soete (Jeff); grandchildren, Gavin, Elizabeth, Aaron, Ryan, Ashley, Abrielle and Braedon. In addition to his partner and children Ed was survived by Jody Gnagie (Debbie), Devin and Zach.

Please come celebrate his life and support the family. Visitation will be 4 to 6pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a celebration of Ed's life to follow at 6pm.
