1974 - 2022

James "Ryan" Sowders, 47, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away at home on Friday, January 21, 2022. Ryan was saved at Macedonia United Baptist Church and attended Rockford View United Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, and driving his Viper. He will be remembered for his generous nature, willingness to lend a helping hand, and being a loyal friend.

He was born on June 26, 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from Doss High School and he earned his working man PhD at the age of 15 when he started window tinting. He later owned Derby City Window Tint.

He is preceded in death by his father, James "Mike" Sowders and brother, Michael "Shane" Sowders.

Ryan is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Pamela M. Sowders, mom, Beverly G. Sowders, children, Jamie M. (Tyler) Davis, Julie F. (Justin and Grandbaby) Sowders, and J. T. Sowders, niece, Delaney (Kain) Sowders, great-nephew, Kade Loudenslager, as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his fun loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Service at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm CST on Saturday, at Macedonia United Baptist Church with burial to follow at B.F. Thompson Cemetery in Cub Run, KY 42729.

The family requests that any contributions in Ryan’s memory be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation (2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306) or by online donation.
