Gail Wimberly, 72, of Louisville, KY, passed away on October 12, 2021. Gail was a devoted member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Southside Drive and Magazine Street of Louisville, KY. She was a teacher's assistant with Jefferson County Public Schools with Head Start for 31 years, Gail's love and dedication for children was unmatched. She was fun loving, over the top and had a larger than life personality. Gail was an avid UofL sports fan, but her passion was cheering on the Louisville men's basketball team and watching pro-wrestling with her son, Charles. She loved listening to music; especially Elvis and Johnny Cash, watching classic movies with one of her favorite actors, Humphrey Bogart. Gail was a natural poet and shared her poetry with her family and friends. She will be forever loved and missed terribly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Susie Ford and her niece, Tina Helmi.

Gail leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted son, Charles Wimberly; granddaughter, Cheyenne Oliver; sister, Tina Hughes; niece, Lawana Briggs; great-niece, Simone (Sean) Bruce; cousins, Pam, Debbie, Connie, Mariam, Kristina, Bryant and Brandie and a host of extend family and friends.
