He was born on June 23, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late James Gum, Sr., and Virginia (Fouts) Gum. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Stewart.
Bimbo is survived by his loving sister, Shirley (Alfred) Conlon; niece, Heather (Joe) Blanton; nephews, Christopher (Diana) Conlon, Matthew Conlon, and Troy Stewart; and brother-in-law, Victor Stewart.
Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). He will be laid to rest at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
