Alvis B. Adkins, 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021.
He was born on July 17, 1942 in McAndrews, Kentucky to Dan and Bertha (Morris) Adkins. Alvis was a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky and UCLA. He worked with IBM and NASA, and worked on the computer that helped send the Apollo Missions to space.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Dan Adkins; Mother, Bertha Adkins; and 7 siblings.
Alvis is survived by his, Brother, Harold Adkins (Charlene); Sisters, Jackie (Adkins) Pearson and Karol (Adkins) Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He will be laid to rest at Noon on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Kentucky.
