Gregory K. “Kit” Abrams, 65, of Louisville passed away on July 28, 2021.
Kit was born on November 10, 1955 in Louisville to the late Frederick and Mary Virginia Abrams. He was a 1974 graduate of Doss High School. Kit worked at Abrams Roofing & Sheet Metal until 1982 then went on to graduate from Roy’s Beauty Academy in 1984. In 1986 he opened Scoundrels Hair Salon. He continued his education and earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science from JCC. Later Kit became a proud ambassador and spokesperson for the IceHouse Inc. helping and encouraging others. Kit was creative and artistic and lived to care for those who needed caregiving in his family. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Lynn Abrams.
Kit is survived by his sister, Pamela Rita Abrams Oakes; brothers, Victor L. Abrams, Jan Christoper Abrams (Mary), and Karl Kevin Abrams (Janet); sister-in-law, Paula Abrams; nieces and nephews, Michael Oakes (Jeanie), Gigi Oakes Kershner (Daniel), Lisa Oakes Poole (Dana), Gina Oakes Korsi (Richard), Brian Abrams, Kim Abrams Bishop (Tom), Chris Abrams (Cari), Emily Abrams (Austin), and Tracy Parke (Molly)
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date and Kit will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Louisville.
