Rodney S. Fryer, 46, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021.

He was born on May 30, 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky to Willard Fryer and Betty Harris. He is preceded in death by his father.

Rodney will always be remembered for being one of the greatest people you ever met, he was a hard worker and loved his family with all his heart. He was a cabinet maker by trade for Smith's Laminating, was an avid U of L fan, enjoyed fishing, playing Yu-gi-oh cards with his son, goofing around with his "mini me", Gracie. Rodney was many things to many people, but most of all he was and will always be a amazing husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Christy Jean Fryer, children, Zachery Scott Fryer and Gracie A Fryer, mother, Betty Jean Harris, siblings, Dwain (Christine) Fryer, Brian Fryer and Angela Lightfoot, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of Rodney's life will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Rodney ’s memory be made to family to help with final expenses.
