Mary Johanna "Mary Jo" Pendleton
1945 - 2021

Mary Johanna "Mary Jo" Pendleton, 75, passed away on May 3, 2021. She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball games. Mary Jo loved working in her yard and doing crafts, such as, painting and ceramics. She enjoyed shopping; finding good deals and bargains. Mary Jo could always make you laugh with her contagious smile. Her family meant the world to her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandson, along with her girlfriends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lillian Shepard and daughter-in-law, Missie Van Meter.

Mary Jo leaves behind cherished memories to her children, Jeff Van Meter, Lisa (Matthew) Shultz and Andy (Tiffany) Pendleton; grandchildren, Dustin Van Meter, Jonathan Van Meter, Connor Shultz, Chelsea (Shaw) Ray, Sierra Hooper and Jordis Miller; great-grandson, Grant Van Meter; brother, William (Sharon) Shepard and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 12pm-8pm with a celebration of Mary Jo's life beginning at 4pm.
