In Memory Of
Larry A. Berryman
1946 - 2021

Larry A. Berryman, 75, of Pekin, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021. He was born in New Albany, Indiana, and was one of 12 children. He was a skilled tradesman, specializing in construction and electrical work. He spent over 30 years in the field.

At a young age, Larry discovered his talent and passion for music. He could sing and play many instruments but developed his talent as a bass guitarist. He experienced playing and even recording with a band in his 20’s but his true joy was playing and singing with his brothers at most family gatherings.

He met the love of his life, Janet, at age 21. So young, they began their 52 year journey with very little. They endured hardships and joyous experiences together and built a beautiful life through it all. He was most proud of being a husband and father to four children. He truly enjoyed being a grandfather and watching each grow into the wonderful young adults they have become.

Larry is preceded in death by his father, Marion Francis “Frank” Berryman; his mother, Bertha Mae Hall Berryman; his son-in-law, Donny Knight Jr; and 11 siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Berryman of Pekin, IN; daughters, Stacy (Chuck) Zielke of Crandall, IN, Cindy (Donny) Knight of Georgetown, IN, Shannon (Tony) Driskell of Georgetown, IN, and son, John Berryman of Pekin IN. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Alex McDonald, Ashley Zielke, Kelsey Newlin, and Austin Zielke. He will also be missed and remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following Larry's wishes.
