Donald Wayne Biszmaier, 74, of Fisherville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021.
He was born on February 26, 1947 in Alexander, North Carolina to the late George and Clarice (Toon) Biszmaier. He is also preceded in death by his son in law, Arthur C. Groulx.
Don proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired from the Louisville Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting.
Don is survived by his daughters, Tammy Beam (John), Dawn Groulx, wife, Monica Raffauf, step children, David Raffauf (Noriko), Erica Girvin (Andrew), grandchildren, Renee, Justin, Sean, Connor, Johanna, Oliver, Claire, Alexander, brother, George David Biszmaier (Marilyn), nephews Mark and Larry Biszmaier (Karen) and biological father Luther Hicks.
Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 23, 2021 at St. Martha Catholic Church (2825 Klondike Lane, Louisville, KY 40218).
The family requests that contributions in Don’s memory be made to the Wounded Warriors Project and the Louisville Fire Department.
