Annetta Jean Adams, 91, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021. Annetta was a faithful member of Graceland Baptist Church where she attended Sunday school and senior groups. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. Annetta was a devoted UK basketball fan.

She was born on August 27, 1929, in Stanford, Kentucky, to the late James and Bexie (Gerkey) Reed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thelbert Richard Adams; and siblings, Robert Reed, Alma Hale, Russell Reed, Clarence Reed, and Fonzo Reed.

Annetta is survived by her loving children, Pamela Jones, Jackie (Michael) Lankert, Jenny (Carl) Larson, and Tim (Kim) Adams; sister, Louise Jenkins; grandchildren, Kim (Rick) Green, Kris Waters, Michael (Nikki) Turnage, Matt (Erin) Shaughnessy, Carrie (Chris) Riehle, Blake (Liz) Adams, Whitney Adams, and Meredith (John) Henderson; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Graceland Baptist Church (3600 Kamer Miller Road, New Albany, Indiana) with burial to follow at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that contributions in Annetta’s memory be made to Graceland Baptist Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105), or Kosair Charities (PO Box 37370, Louisville, KY 40233).
